Welcome to the lifestyle medicine evidence library

Lifestyle medicine is supported by a rapidly expanding body of research spanning multiple disciplines—including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social and other kinds of connection, substance use, and behavioral science. Yet this evidence is often dispersed across journals, study designs, and areas of focus, making it difficult to locate, synthesize, and apply in real-world settings.

An evidence repository addresses this challenge by systematically identifying, organizing, and categorizing relevant research into a centralized, accessible resource—helping clinicians, educators, researchers, and decision-makers efficiently find and use the evidence that informs practice

Last updated: July 2026. This library will continue to be updated over the course of 2026 and beyond. Current content to date includes ~1500 papers, most of which are systematic reviews and meta-analyses from 2016-present, along with intervention studies published in 2026. Intervention studies from previous years will be added continually.
